Yesterday I went somewhere really neat: the farmers market! The girl wanted me to experience a really big one so we went to Cedar Rapids.

Our first mission when we got there was to find some breakfast food because we were hungry. We walked around looking for breakfast sandwiches and then we saw this food truck with my name on it! We knew we had to eat there.

We shared a croissant with bacon, egg, and cheddar on it, and it was amazing because they grilled it right there while we waited.

Then it was time to look at all of the stuff vendors were selling, but at first it was really hard for me because I was so distracted by how different people looked in the big city. Like there was this guy who dressed like a bird.

And these people who dressed like a princess and a poindexter.
Everyone wanted to know who I was and pose for photos with me. Somehow they guessed I am kind of a celebrity.

I posed with this funny sign, which the girl said was actually serious because trains do drive right through downtown. I didn’t see any while we were there, but I wish I did.

All sorts of neat places are located right on the streets where the market is set up, like the art museum.

I had fun climbing up high for a photo.

There was also this huge Cedar Rapids sign, which some people told us was new. Can you see me up in the letter D?

See, there I am!

The girl bought some lavender tea and a scone mix for me to bake later, which I’m really excited about.
But my favorite booth was this one selling French macarons! I had seen cookies like these in my baking books but had never tasted one. The girl ordered me a crème brulée one and it was amazing!
I told the girl I want to bake those next but she said we would have a better chance of success if we waited until summer is over because they are fussy about humidity.

I had such a fun time at the market that I can’t wait to visit again!
