A 9-inch plushie takes on American life

Doughed

What do donuts and soft pretzels have in common? Dough, I think. So I titled this post ‘doughed’ like it’s a verb, because yesterday I had a donut and a soft pretzel, and I think I invented a word.

I went to Donutland again yesterday and the girl behind the counter recognized me even though it was only my second visit to that location. She asked if I wanted the mini donut again, and of course I did! I chose chocolate icing this time because I wanted to try something new rather than fall into a rut or be typecast.

Yummy! We went to the park and ate our donuts outside.

After taking a long walk with the girl and her friend through the woods for many miles (the girl’s friend has an app that said it was over 20,000 steps) where we appreciated wildflowers and were very careful about the poison ivy, we walked to the Big Grove Brewery to rest.

We were hungry so we got a huge pretzel and it came with a hot mustard that made the girl’s nose sting again, but she insisted on eating it anyway.

I ate some pretzel too but I dipped mine in cheese sauce to be safe. It was creamy and mild. The salt made me thirsty, though, so I had to take a sip of the girl’s beer, a lager called Neighborhood. That was challenging, though, because the glass was as tall as me!

As you can see in this photo, I found a little piece of banana bling this weekend. I have three smiling bananas attached to my collar. The girl isn’t sure if they’ll fall off because they are just clasped on, but she she said she can sew them on more permanently. I think they really complete this look and they make me smile when I hear them jingle.

Overall I had a happy day yesterday that wore me out so much, all I did was lay on the sofa today.
